The Galaxy insert is part of Ferlux’s wood-burning insert range and stands out for its high thermal efficiency, installation versatility, and contemporary design.

In addition, this range offers a wide variety of power outputs, dimensions, and aesthetic solutions, allowing easy adaptation to different environments. For this reason, the Galaxy model was developed to ensure maximum comfort and well-being, incorporating a silent turbine system that guarantees efficient and even heat distribution.

Key Features of the Galaxy Model

Primary Air

The primary air system is located at the bottom of the unit. It allows the user to regulate the air intake and adjust the flame intensity according to need. In this way, combustion becomes more efficient, resulting in reduced wood consumption.

Secondary Air

Secondary air enters the combustion chamber from the top in the form of preheated air. This system enhances glass cleanliness, reduces pollutant emissions, and increases the overall efficiency of the appliance.

Clean Glass System

A continuous air curtain on the inner surface of the glass prevents direct contact with combustion fumes. As a result, the user enjoys a clear and long-lasting view of the flames, as well as a significant improvement in combustion quality. Consequently, this system helps reduce emissions and fuel consumption.

Double Combustion

Double combustion is achieved through the injection of preheated air at a specific height in the combustion chamber. Unburned gases from the initial combustion phase are reused, allowing the appliance to achieve higher energy performance, lower wood consumption, and reduced emissions, making it more efficient and sustainable.

Printed Glass

In addition to its technical performance, the printed glass gives the insert an elegant and sophisticated design. The door therefore serves not only a functional purpose but also plays an important decorative role within the surrounding space.

White Vermiculite

The combustion chamber is fully lined with white vermiculite, a highly refractory material resistant to high temperatures. Moreover, its light color provides a more attractive flame display. Due to the high temperatures achieved, combustion is more complete, which helps reduce atmospheric emissions.

Turbine

In addition to natural convection heating, the Galaxy incorporates forced-air turbines, particularly suitable when hot air ducting is required. This allows heat to be distributed more efficiently to adjacent rooms while maintaining silent operation.

Potentiometer

The potentiometer allows the ventilation system to be switched on or off and enables adjustment of the turbine airflow. This gives the user full control over the desired level of thermal comfort.

Ducting

Finally, the ducting system enables hot air to be distributed to other rooms through ducts, supported by silent turbines. This ensures greater overall thermal comfort and lower fuel consumption.
