The Taurus heat insert is part of Ferlux’s range of wood-burning inserts, standing out for its efficiency, robustness, and versatility of application.

In addition, this range offers a wide variety of power outputs, dimensions, and design solutions, allowing easy adaptation to different environments. For this reason, the Taurus model was designed to provide maximum comfort and well-being, featuring a silent turbine system that ensures efficient and uniform heat distribution.

Main Features of the Taurus Model

Primary Air

The primary air system is located at the bottom of the unit. It allows the user to regulate the air intake, adjusting flame intensity as needed. This results in more efficient combustion and, consequently, reduced wood consumption.

Secondary Air

Secondary air is introduced at the top of the combustion chamber in the form of pre-heated air. This system contributes to continuous glass cleaning, reduces emissions, and increases the overall efficiency of the appliance.

Clean Glass System

A permanent air curtain on the inner face of the glass prevents direct contact with combustion fumes. As a result, it ensures a clear and long-lasting view of the flames while significantly improving combustion quality. This system therefore helps reduce emissions and fuel consumption.

Double Combustion

Double combustion occurs through the injection of pre-heated air at a specific height within the combustion chamber. In this way, unburned gases from the initial phase are reused. Consequently, the appliance achieves higher energy performance, lower fuel consumption, and reduced emissions.

Printed Glass

In addition to technical performance, the printed glass gives the insert a more elegant and sophisticated design. Thus, the door is not only a functional component but also an important decorative element.

White Vermiculite

The combustion chamber is fully lined with white vermiculite, a highly refractory material resistant to high temperatures. Furthermore, its light color provides a more attractive view of the flames. Due to the high temperatures reached, combustion becomes more complete, reducing atmospheric emissions.

Turbine

In addition to natural convection heating, the effect of booster turbines enhances performance, especially when hot air ducting is required. This allows heat to be distributed more efficiently to adjacent rooms while maintaining silent operation.

Potentiometer

The potentiometer allows the ventilation system to be switched on or off and enables adjustment of the turbine airflow. This gives the user full control over the desired level of thermal comfort.

Ducting

Finally, the ducting system allows hot air to be distributed to other rooms through ducts with the support of silent turbines. This ensures greater overall thermal comfort and lower fuel consumption.
